Here’re my recommendations for this weekend:
Mike Griffith’s blog http://leadinganswers.typepad.com
I had the amazing opportunity to attend a 45 mins workshop with Mike last year and let me tell you, it was very productive even though it was too short. It was at the PMI Global Conference where he was presenting the new Agile Practice Guide along with Jesse Fewell. If you’re into Agile methodologies, you know that he is the man! I find his blog very educational, not only in Agile but in different topics such as concentration, learning techniques, and project management in general, check it out.
In Sheep’s Clothing: Understanding and Dealing with Manipulative People
I saw a recommendation for this book sometime ago, reviews were interesting so I went ahead and read it. I have always been interested in human psychology, I’m that person who reads everything about manipulative people, cults, serial killers, etc., so I found it very interesting, a lot of the reviews mention how it helped them to recognize their “abusers” and things like that, it was not my case, however, it’s kind of useful to be able to recognize manipulative techniques in your daily life, don’t you think?
